About自己紹介

Hello! I'm Ammie, a girl who enjoys and creates art (and pretends to be a cat online :spinny_cat:).

You might not have noticed it yet, but I really like the colors pink and purple.

Some of the stuff I do include:

Sometimes I also:

Programmingプログラミング

I love programming and computer-related things in general. I even used to code all day when I first got into programming (don't do this lol).

Nowadays I have other hobbies, so I don't code as much as I used to.

I usually do systems programming and related stuff, but I'm always trying other stuff out :neocat_laptop.

Some of my coolest programming projects include:

  • Wayle - A simple Smart TV system;
  • hv - A doujin/manga manager and reader;
  • WindowRenderer - A display server and window manager;
  • niban - An imperative, procedural, general-purpose programming language (unfinished);
  • This website!

Some of my more useful projects include:

  • zoomer - A Boomer-like zoom application;
  • blobcat - An application for generating animated images of low-poly spinning blobcats;
  • genkeys - An application for generating key binding configuration files for various Wayland compositors and window managers;
  • explode-generator - An application for animating images with an explosion effect.

Drawingイラスト

I really love art and all kinds of art, and drawing is a type of art that I can do too!

I don't remember when I started drawing "for real", but it was probably around 2022 or 2023? I really don't remember lol.

My inspiration when I started was anime and osu! title screen backgrounds. I thought they were cool and wanted to make cool stuff as well :spinny_cat:.

Though nowadays most of what motivates me to keep drawing is my biggest personal project.

Writing執筆

Writing isn't actually something I actively do. I'm basically developing a fantasy world for my biggest personal project and sometimes documenting it in Obsidian.

I'm a very big fan of hard worldbuilding and complex fantasy worlds, so that's fun.

Gamesゲーム

My favorite games are the Touhou Project games, UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE, and Minecraft.

The first game really got into was Minecraft. I used to play a lot of modded Minecraft all day, but nowadays I don't really play it as much.

I also used to play lots of UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE. I don't play those games as much these days, but they're still an inspiration for creating my own.

I used to play osu! a lot too. In fact, before I started drawing frequently, I only used my drawing tablet to play osu! basically. Though now I don't play it as much.

Nowadays, the Touhou games are by far my favorite games and my biggest inspiration for creating my own projects. I started playing them after constantly receiving recommendations for Touhou song covers by ViddyWell on YouTube and getting curious enough about the games and their music to search the internet for information about this intriguing game series. I eventually played Touhou Koumakyou ~ the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil as my first Touhou game, and the rest is history.

My favorite Touhou games are Touhou Eiyashou ~ Imperishable Night and Touhou Kanjuden ~ Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom. I love both of these games for their stories and soundtracks, both of which are absolutely great.

Manga漫画

I don't read manga lol. The only manga I've ever read was Yagate Kimi ni Naru, which is a really nice and cute yuri romance that I really recommend!

After reading that manga and really enjoying it, I did the most rational thing ever and never touched a manga ever again.

Animeアニメ

Watching anime is something I don't do very often, but every time I do I greatly enjoy the experience.

The first anime I've ever watched when I got curious about what that whole anime thing was about was Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai. But the first anime that I've really gotten into was JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (I used to know A LOT about JoJo).

Here's a list of the anime I like the most:

This isn't a full list, as it includes only anime that I liked enough to consider worth listing here.

Bocchi the Rock!ぼっち・ざ・ろっく!

Okay I really need to talk about this one.

For those who don't know, "Bocchi the Rock!" is a slice of life anime about the experience of a socially anxious guitarist who joins a rock band in pursuit of becoming a rock musician while fulfilling her desire to one day make friends.

I watched this anime twice, and it managed to significantly change my life TWICE!!!

When I watched it for the first time, being socially anxious myself, I really related to the main character's struggles. Finding this character so relatable made me think she was very cool and cute. This admiration made me have the totally cisgender realization that I actually wanted to live as a woman. Who doesn't want to be cool and cute?

Years later, I watched Bocchi the Rock! a second time. Listening to the songs and watching the main character play guitar made me really want to play guitar myself. Also, being able to make music would be very convenient for a certain personal project. After I finished rewatching the anime, I started playing an old acoustic guitar I had lying around and became obsessed with electric guitars - the different types, brands, etc.

Now I would love to have Bocchi's beautiful Les Paul Custom, but I unfortunately don't have a spare car lying around to sell for that guitar.

Bocchi's Pacifica looks cool too, but I don't have any spare iPhones either.

Music音楽

Music is something I love and it has always been a part of my life in some way.

I usually listen exclusively to one style of music for long periods of time, depending on what I'm currently obsessed with.

As a child, I didn't have a smartphone or internet access, so I only listened to music on CDs and from a collection of old Brazilian songs my father downloaded to a USB drive. But after I got my first phone and started discovering music on my own, I never listened to that kind of music again lol.

The first songs I discovered by myself and really liked were the tracks from the UNDERTALE soundtrack. What can I say? They're just peak.

My "UNDERTALE OST" era would end after I started binge-watching videos from Enderman on YouTube. His videos have nothing to do with music, but damn the background music he uses in them is so peak. After watching each video I would look up the songs that were used and add them to a playlist. This basically means that, for a while, I only listened to dubstep and electronic music. (Btw, Enderman's videos are great and I highly recommend you watch them. He makes videos breaking and experimenting with Windows in various ways, as well as testing malware. Great stuff!)

My next musical obsession after electronic music would be anime music. Anime music is great, and for a while that was all I listened to. It was also around that time that I really got into osu!, and anime music beatmaps were exactly what I exclusively played back then.

My "anime music" phase ended after I decided to replay UNDERTALE and try DELTARUNE as well. At that time, I was listening to the music from UNDERTALE again and started listening to the music from DELTARUNE too. As time went by, I discovered new music and started listening to songs I used to listen to again, until I discovered Touhou.

After finding out about Touhou and its amazing soundtrack, I exclusively listened to Touhou music for about a year, until I discovered vocaloid music.

While the term "vocaloid music" technically only refers to music with vocals created using the VOCALOID software, it is widely used to describe any kind of music that features voices from virtual singers such as Hatsune Miku, Kasane Teto, and others. As of April 2026, that's the kind of music I'm currently obsessed with. I particularly like Machine Love and BIRDBRAIN by Jamie Paige. Especially BIRDBRAIN, since I find its lyrics really relatable (:spinny_cat: <-- stoopid (me)).

Today (April 2026), I feel and recognize my love for music more than ever, and I'm even inspired to eventually create my own songs in the future.

And that's the state of my music journey as of April 2026. Of course there's a bunch of stuff I left out, but that's still a good overview.

I don't intend to update this section as I discover new songs, but I still wanted to share a piece of my history with music with everyone.

I really love music, and I hope that never changes!

The Personal Projectメイン個人プロジェクト

I have been subtly referencing this project throughout this page. It is now time to (more or less) properly talk about it.

I dream of creating a big indie video game franchise, inspired by all kinds of media. I want to do everything myself, much like ZUN does for the Touhou Project.

I have some quite interesting ideas for the gameplay and story of these games. Something that I would describe as "a drastically different, unique, and beginner-friendly take on bullet hell video games".

I won't get into much detail. You'll just have to wait for me to release something. It might take a year. It might take ten years. Who knows.
